Project Description

The Jatashankari Small Hydropower Project is a small-scale hydroelectric power generation initiative located at Village Chhevdhara, Tahsil Katghora, District Korba in the state of Chhattisgarh, India. The project aims to harness the hydroelectric potential of the Jatashankari River to generate an estimated 7,000 kW of power. This project was developed by JHPPL in collaboration with the Chhattisgarh Renewable Energy Development Agency (CREDA), which is the nodal agency for the development of small hydro projects in the state. The work was started back in 2007.
